Fees & Billing

Storage Fees Explained

Your receiving fee covers the first 14 days of storage. After that it renews weekly at the same rate — packages stay safe while your account is funded.

There’s no separate storage charge when your package arrives — storage is built into the receiving fee for the first two weeks. Here’s exactly how the clock works.

The 14-Day Window

Your receiving fee (from $4.25 for packages under 20 lb) covers the first 14 days of storage. Pick up within two weeks and storage costs you nothing extra. Most customers never see a storage fee at all.

After Day 14: Weekly Renewal

From day 15, storage renews every 7 days at the same amount as your receiving fee. So a $4.25 package accrues $4.25 per week it keeps waiting. Fees are charged to your account balance, and we send weekly reminder emails while a package is in storage, so nothing accrues silently.

One Exception: Cold Storage

Refrigerated items work differently, because fridge space is limited and perishables need to move fast. Cold storage is $8.00 per 2 days, billed from the moment the item goes in the fridge, with no free days — the 14-day window above does not apply while an item is refrigerated.

If we move a package you’ve already received into the fridge, we credit your receiving fee back first, so you pay $8.00 per 2 days rather than both fees. When it comes back out of the fridge it returns to the normal rate and the 14-day window starts again from that day.

Safe While Funded

Your packages are never disposed of while your account is funded. Disposal is only ever considered when a package has sat for more than 80 days and your account owes more than $50 — and you’ll have received many reminders long before that point. Keep a small positive balance and time is never a worry.

Traveling or Need Long-Term Storage?

Storage-friendly tips:

  • Rent a Dedicated Storage locker: if packages will be waiting a while, a locker of your own is a flat monthly rate by size with no minimum term — anything filed into it stops the weekly clock. (The receiving fee still applies as each package arrives. Grouping several packages into one locker is about space and an easy pickup — each package is still billed on its own, so it doesn’t change what’s accruing.)
  • Forward it: if you can’t cross for a while, request a shipping quote and we’ll send it to you instead.
  • Top up before a trip: an e-Transfer keeps your balance positive so your PIN stays active for whoever picks up on your behalf.

Oversize items that wait on our staffed shelf (instead of a locker) are on the same terms: the receiving fee covers the first 14 days, then the weekly renewal applies while the item waits.
