Most parcel-receiving services flat-out refuse freight, pallets, and anything too heavy to carry — many parcel services won’t take large items at all. In Out Parcel does, as long as it’s human-liftable (we don’t have a forklift on site). Here’s what we take, what it costs, and how pickup works.
What We Accept
- Freight and pallets — as long as it can be lifted by hand off the truck.
- Large TVs
- Couches and other furniture — including Wayfair-style deliveries.
- Tires
- Other oversized items that simply won’t fit in a locker.

What It Costs
Normal receiving fees are based on weight, starting at $4.25 for packages under 20 lb and running up to $18 for 81 lb and over. Freight and pallets work a little differently:
- Freight fee: $25 per 2 days.
- Pallet disposal (if you don’t need the pallet itself): $10.
- Box disposal: starts at $1.
- Tires: charged the lower of the normal weight fee or $8 per tire — see how tires are charged for the full breakdown.
Where It Goes While You Wait
Our largest lockers are 18 × 20 × 80 inches (rectangular) and 22.5 × 30 × 24.5 inches (square). Anything bigger than that — freight, pallets, a couch, a big-screen TV — goes to our staffed shelf instead of a locker. Storage terms are the same as for any package: the receiving fee (plus the freight fee, if applicable) covers the first 14 days, then storage renews weekly.
Picking It Up
Oversized items are picked up at the counter during staffed hours: Monday–Friday 10:00 AM–4:30 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM–3:00 PM. See the full walkthrough in how to pick up your packages.
After-Hours Pickup (Big Locker)
Can’t make staffed hours? After-hours pickup for oversized items can be arranged on request — we set the item out for you to collect at a time you agree with us, in the Big Locker, the Fitting Room, or behind the Emergency Door. Your arrival email tells you which:
- Big Locker or Fitting Room: enter your PIN at the terminal to open a small locker holding the key to the room. Collect your item, then return the key to the small locker.
- Emergency Door: enter your PIN at the RED, BLUE, or GREEN terminal, then collect your item from the Emergency Door.
Our on-site fitting/change room also works as a private space to sort or repack.
- Verify your account first. After-hours pickup is only available on a verified account — until then, oversized items are counter pickup only.
- Reply to your arrival notification to book it, and tell us when you’ll come.
- Always enter your PIN at the terminal when you collect — that’s what records the pickup and stops storage. See always enter your PIN.
It’s free if you pick up at the arranged time. Miss it and the item comes back in and is re-filed as a new arrival, with a new receiving fee — so book a time you’re sure of, and let us know early if plans change.
Heavy Items
Staff are happy to help you load during staffed hours — for very heavy items, please bring a helper.
